A Little Chevron with Dotty For You

So, I went on the "Picture This" Bus Tour Yesterday and had so much fun!  We started out at 8am at "Picture This" in Eau Claire, WI.  We had breakfast, 2 make-n-takes and a little shopping.  Then at 9:30 we boarded the bus (all 42 of us).  We headed to Cannon Falls, MN.  We stopped at "CF Stamps etc." for 2 hours.  While there, we did a little more shopping, had lunch and a super cute make-n-take.  Finally, we headed to Osseo, MN for "We're Stampin' Mad".  This was a large store that also combined with a bead store.  The staff at all 3 locations were wonderful, the specials were great, I learned some neat things along the way and had fun with some great fellow scrapbookers.  I returned at 7pm.  After, catching up with Eric and the kiddos, having a bite to eat and resting a little.  I still felt very creative.  So, here are 2 cards that I created last night.  As many of you know... the Chevron Stripe is super popular right now.  So, I put my little twist on it with the Close to My Heart Dotty for You paper pack.
Here is a Thank You card with a large Chevron Stripe in a quilting pattern with some fun rhinestone bling on top.
This card looks simple... but trying to get those little Chevron pieces in a straight line and evenly spaced was pretty tricky.  I like the clean look and Spring feel.  The Sentiment "You make the world a better place" is from the Close to My Heart July: Live out Loud Stamp of the Month.

Sydney's 1st Dentist Visit

I love banners, rosettes, and bling...  BUT most of all I love Sydney.  So, this was a fun layout to work on.  It was 3 years in the making though :)  Sydney had her first dentist appointment back in 2009.  I guess I just needed the right paper, and embellishments to make this layout happen.
In this picture you get a closer look at the sparkles, rosettes, and the wooden embellishments in the middle of the flowers.  Plus, don't you just love that butterfly in flight!

Here are a few more rosettes with wooden accents and some free style journaling.  See...  it is ok to pick up pages years later...  don't stress over not being all caught up.  Just have fun papercrafting!

Dotty for You Gifties

I worked on a few large rosette magnets and small rosette bookmarks with the new Close to My Heart Dotty for You Campaign Paperpack.  I showed the front and back of each in the picture below.
The Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge made this gift a snap.  I made the box 6 inches wrapped it with some hollyhock ribbon and then cut out a fun flower image from a Dotty for You patterned paper sheet.  A ribbon bow and a little glitz glitter glue make it pop.  I hope my club members love the box and the fun contents :)

Shirtless Wonder and his sidekicks

Wyatt has a knack for running around the house lately with no clothes on.  So, you are lucky in this picture he is just Shirtless Wonder and not the Naked Bandit!  He LOVES everything Spideman and Superman right now - as you can see.
I just love his expressions.  He is so dramatic!  He takes after Sydney in this department.  He loves creative play.  Luckily he hasn't taken to trying to fly just yet - say a prayer for me that he holds off on this trick!!  Everyone asks me how I get anything done with my 3 kiddos (creative things that is...)...  But really, just look at the pics I get,  I have tons of creative inspiration and drive to get these photos on the page :)  Lucky for me, Close to My Heart also came out with a Super Hero paper packet, matching stamp sets, and embellishments.  Wyatt has given me plenty of photo ops.  I can't wait to get all the pictures on the page.  I will share them as I get them done.  So, check back soon!
Of course, as I am capturing Wyatt standing on the furniture above him, I have to take a picture of Ethan quietly playing with his legos on the floor.  Such a contrast to his little brother, yet so similar.  They are both so loving!
Then there is my HAM Sydney...  "take a picture of me MOM".  Of course she was afraid that I would forget her.  My little middle child.  I love that girl.  Here she is striking a pose while watching a cartoon and eating a snack.

A Perfect Summer Day

Well... I may be in Wisconsin, but it is feeling like Ohio weather here.  It was sunny and 74 degrees yesterday.  We had a BBQ and the kids were running around in shorts.  Today, it is 37 degrees and we had snow in the morning.  So, I am reminded of HOME.  Feels like Ohio weather to me.  I thought only in Ohio could you get get Summer, Winter, Spring and Fall in a span of 24 hours.  However, I guess it can happen here in WI also.  Since I am feeling a bit chilly, I thought I would post a fun Summer layout to warm things up.  I like this one because it mixes a couple paper packets and some bits of whimsy.  Have a sunny day (even if it is snowing where you are!)

So Excited for Disney!

Ok, this isn't in line with the "Dotty for You" Campaign that I have been working with lately.  However, I had to post a few Disney layouts... Because I have BIG news...  WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!  We have been telling our kids for 3 years that when Ethan is 8, Sydney is 6 and Wyatt is 3, we will go to Disney.  Well, it is time to pay up on that promise.  We are in the planning stages.  We have asked both sets of Grandparents to go along too.  So, this should be a trip to remember.  Luckily for me, I have a few gals that have been asking me to do Disney layout workshops over the past few years.  Here are two layouts from some of my recent workshops.  I hope you enjoy them and they give you some inspiration.  All of the product used is Close to My Heart and most is retired.  If you have specific questions, feel free to email me.  Thanks!

A Baptism and Cheer Up

I am so excited to post this card.  The meaning behind it is just amazing!  I just love making Baptism cards and I am so excited for Tori.  She is the daughter of a close friend of mine.  She recently gave her life to Christ and chose to have her baptism this weekend!  So, Congratulations Tori!  The Woodworth Family is so happy for you.  I wish that we could be there!
I love the fun shapes and the clean look of this card.  It was made using the CTMH "Dotty for You" May Campaign paper pack, the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, "4 My Friend" Stamp Set, Baker's Twine and Sweet Leaf Stamp Pad.

4 My Friend

Here is another fun "Spring" card I did using the "Dotty for You" paper pack from Close to My Heart. I used a stir stick to make the flag with a few paper banners. Once you add a little bit of sweet leaf ribbon and self stick bling, you have a fun card that is ready to add a little sunshine for that special friend!

Happy Birthday - Dotty For You!!

I took a few minutes today to play with my Dotty for You paper pack from Close to My Heart, a new Tim Holtz paper Rosette Die that I picked up at "Picture This" Scrapbooking Store (love that place) last night and the Close to My Heart "4 My Friend" Stamp Set.

A Day at the Park

We spent a day at the park yesterday with the kiddos. Eric was working on Ethan and Sydney riding independently, while Wyatt and I strolled around taking pictures. The back drop was beautiful and I love my little models. So, we also had an impromptu modeling session. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from our day at the park.
